Settings - Admin/User Management

Admin Functions

There is no maximum number of Admin users your account can possess, however there should be at least one so that account management can be performed.

User Roles

Admins can perform the following functions:

  • adding user

  • deleting users

  • resetting a user's password

  • switching a user between a "User" or "Admin" role

  • normal platform functions

Users

  • normal platform functions

    • the number of users that have access to your account is determined by the number of seats purchased with your package.

Gaining Customer Admin Rights

  1. Start by logging into NGC3 at https://app2.cision.com/

    1. Open a new tab in your browser and navigate to https://app2.cision.com/#/settings/user

  2. If you can see the "Users" tab, you already have Admin access

    1. No additional work is needed on your part.

  3. If you can't see the Users tab, you will need to request Admin access

    1. Reach out to Customer Service asking them to create a support ticket requesting permission to the User Management screen.

      1. Once Admin access has been granted, the "User" option will be visible

 

Adding New Users to the Platform

  1. Start by logging into NGC3 at https://app2.cision.com/

  2. Select your name in the top right corner and select 'Settings"

  3. This will take you to the "User" tab

  4. Next, select "Manage Users"

  5. Use the dialogue boxes at the top of the screen to enter the new users email address, first name, last name and user status.

  6. Once you are finished adding the new user information press the "Invite" button The new user will receive a email invitation from Cision, which will include the new users email address and a prompt to choose a password.

  • Once the user selects the “Let’s Get Started” button, they’ll be navigated to a password management screen.

  • New user’s passwords must be at least 6 characters with one number. Once the password is accepted, the user will be directed to the sign-in screen.

Editing Existing Users within the Platform

With an Admin Role in the Next Generation Cision Communications Cloud, you have the ability to edit an existing user's role, reset their password, and remove a user from the platform.

To Make Changes to a User's Role:

 

  1. Click on the dropdown arrow next to your name in the upper-right corner of the screen and select the Settings option.

 

 

 

 

  1. Select the Manage Users tab.

  2. Use the arrows to page through the users in your platform.

  3. You can filter the list of existing users by Username, Name or Language.

  1. Hover over the user whom you would like to edit and click on the Pencil Icon to edit the user's Role.

 

 

  1. Select either ADMIN or USER from the Role dropdown and click on the Save Changes button.

 

 

 

 

 

To Reset a User's Password:

 

 

  1. Click on the dropdown arrow next to your name in the upper-right corner of the screen and select the Settings option.

 

 

 

  1. Select the Manage Users tab.

  2. Use the arrows to page through the users in your platform.

  3. You can filter the list of existing users by Username, Name or Language.

  1. Hover over the user whom you would like to edit and click on the Lock Icon to reset the user's password.

 

  1. Click on the Confirm button to send a reset password email to the user.

 

 

 

NOTE: New user’s passwords must be at least 6 characters with one number. Once the password is accepted, the user will be directed to the sign-in screen.

To Remove a User's Platform Access:

 

  1. Click on the dropdown arrow next to your name in the upper-right corner of the screen and select the Settings option.

 

 

 

 

  1. Select the Manage Users tab.

  2. Use the arrows to page through the users in your platform.

  3. You can filter the list of existing users by Username, Name or Language.

  1. Hover over the user whom you would like to edit and click on the Toggle Switch to remove the user.

Note: You will see the user crossed out when access is removed.

  1. Click on the Toggle Switch again to re- activate the user, then use the Lock Icon to send them a password reset email

 

Reset Existing and New User Passwords

  1. Navigate to the "Manage User" tab Settings > Manage User

  2. Hover over the user’s Username whose password you would like to reset. T hree icons will appear to the right of the “Role” column.

  • a pencil = edit user information a lock = reset user password

  • a trash can = delete user

  1. Select the "lock" to reset the users password

  • A "Reset Password Confirmation" dialogue box will open

  1. Select "Confirm" to initiate the password reset

  • Confirming this action will trigger an email request which goes to the user The selected user will receive a email invitation from Cision, and which will prompt them to set a new password.

  • Once the user selects the “Set New Password” button, they’ll be navigated to a password management screen.

  • New user’s passwords must be at least 6 characters with one number. Once the password is accepted, the user will be directed to the sign-in screen.
